W’menswear collections have chronicled the lives of many pioneering women throughout the 20th Century. They began with the prompt of women as ‘multi–faceted beings’, as an entry point for tracing different models of femininity developed throughout history. In doing so, we are continuously fascinated by the ways gender has intersected with political ideology and been used to legitimate, or resist, different regimes.

As designers W'menswear is interested in a vernacular design approach, working with authentic methods of fabrication to weave the stories of trail blazing women into their garments.   The design studio is based in Bangkok, where they work with local artisans who are also committed to beauty and authenticity.
