Job Title: Store Salesperson

Department: Retail Sales
Reports To: Store Manager / Boutique Owner
Location: Alter Greenpoint store/ 
Employment Type: Full-time / Part-time

The Store Salesperson is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, driving sales, and maintaining the shop's visual standards. This role requires a passion for fashion, strong interpersonal skills, and a keen eye for style. The salesperson acts as a brand ambassador, helping customers find products that suit their needs and personal style.

  • 24-30 hour work week
  • Employee discount of 50% off ( select merchandise and post 90 days of employment
  • Weekend availability a must.
  • Hourly pay (TBD on experience) plus 2.5% commission on individual sales. 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage customers in a warm, friendly manner.

  • Provide personalized styling advice and recommendations.

  • Assist customers with product selection, fittings, and purchases.

  • Maintain a high level of product knowledge, including current trends and promotions.

  • Process transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system, Lightspeed.

  • Restock merchandise and ensure the sales floor is organized and visually appealing.

  • Monitor inventory levels and report discrepancies or shortages.

  • Handle customer queries, feedback, and complaints professionally.

  • Meet or exceed individual and store sales targets.

  • Maintain cleanliness and tidiness of the boutique at all times.

  • Support in opening, closing, and daily operational tasks and cleaning of the store. 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Previous retail or fashion sales experience (preferred).

  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

  • A strong interest in fashion and style trends.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

  • High level of integrity, reliability, and professionalism.

  • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.

  • Lifting and moving boxes or merchandise.
