Job Title: Store Manager
Reports to: Owners

Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary:
ALTER's Store Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the store to ensure smooth and profitable performance. This includes staff supervision, customer experience, inventory management, visual merchandising, sales performance, and maintaining the brand’s image and values.
- 40 HOUR WORK WEEK
- HOURLY PAY (TBD based on experience) PLUS 2.5% on individual sales COMMISSION

1. Store Operations
-
Oversee daily opening and closing procedures.

Maintain cleanliness, organization, and safety standards within the store.

Ensure all store policies and procedures are implemented and followed.
2. Sales & Customer Service
-
Drive sales to meet or exceed targets and KPIs.

Deliver exceptional customer service and create a personalized shopping experience.

Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally.
3. Staff Management
-
Hire, train, and supervise sales associates.
-
Schedule staff shifts and ensure proper coverage.
-
Motivate and develop team members through coaching and performance reviews.
4. Inventory Management
-
Monitor stock levels and manage inventory control.
-
Coordinate with buyers along with suppliers for orders and deliveries.
-
Conduct regular stock inventory and minimize stock loss.
- Receive deliveries and process goods for the shop floor.
5. Visual Merchandising
-
Implement and maintain in-store visual standards.
-
Coordinate displays in line with seasonal promotions and brand guidelines.

Ensure the store is always visually appealing to customers.
6. Financial & Administrative Tasks
-
Process sales transactions and manage the cash register.
-
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports.
- Create and maintain Staff Schedule
- Produce reports for payroll.
Key Skills & Qualifications:

Proven experience in retail management, preferably in fashion/apparel.

Strong leadership and people management skills.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Strong understanding of sales principles and retail KPIs.

Good organizational and time management abilities.

Proficient in POS systems and basic Microsoft Office tools.

Knowledge of current fashion trends is a plus.
Working Conditions:

Willingness to work weekends, some holidays, and extended hours if and when needed.

Ability to stand for long periods and lift inventory boxes.
